Family History: Richard and Claudia met during a terrible storm. Everyone was warned to stay inside but Claudia, a young, pretty traveller, didnt have a home to go to. Luckily for her Richard, or Rick as he liked to be called, was out stocking up on supplies at the local store. She caught his attention immedietly and he provided her with shelter until the storm was finsihed. He was besotted with her, despite knowing her for less than a day. She broke his heart by leaving the next morning with only a letter as her goodbye. He spent the next few years of his life searching for her, not caring that his family thought he was crazy for chasing after a girl he barely knew. It took him years but he eventually found her. Claudia had thought about him ever since she'd left him but she'd known that her family would never approve of such a union. So her and Richard ran away together. Their wedding was beautiful, until the earthquake hit and Richard was knocked unconscious before her could say 'I do'. He was rushed to the hospital where he drifted in and out of consciouness. The doctors were not sure he would survive so in one of his conscoius moments he asked to be wed as his dying wish. Thankfully for the two one of the doctors was also a priest! He married them immedietly. Their wedding kiss ended when Richard's heart moniter flatlined and the electirc metal things were brought out. He was able to be revived, or else Amelia and Evie would never have been born. Or at least, this was the type of story Evie wished her parents to have. In reality their meeting and marriage was much more normal (or boring, if you ask Evie) and a lot less soap opera like (or exciting). They actually met through mutual aqquaintances and after dating for four years richard finally proposed. There was no earthquake during the funeral and no one nearly died. A year later Claudia was pregnant with her first daughter, Amelia. Four years later Evie was born.

Evie's childhood was also pretty normal, despite what she might tell you. She looked up to Amelia, who, at four years her senior, was old enough to be super cool in Evie's opinion but young enough that the two could get on reasonably well most of the time. Evie attended preschool and primary school just like every other normal muggle girl did. The only thing about her that didn't seem normal was her obseesion with television shows and movies. At first she only watched the shows on TV that Amelia was watching so she could be more like Amelia but eventually her obsession grew and she started buying dvds from all over the place so she could watch more shows. The melodramatic type of shows were always her favourite, from Emmerdale to Neighbours to the OC and many others. Evie had never been overly ambitous but this tv obsession made her lazy when it came to doing any work. Why would she want to do homework when she could be watching Veronica Mars solve her latest case or watch Serena and Blair fight again? Her parents learnt to bribe her to do her homework by promosing her whatever dvd she wanted that week if she did her work. It was a good system as far as actually making Evie do her work but she never spent enough time and so the work was never of a high standard. Her primary school report cards all said similar things, that Evie was a bright student but she never reached her full potential. Whenever Richard and Claudia tried to turn the tv off or watch a show they wanted to watch the tv would turn itself off or change channels, almost by magic. After a few months of this, they bought a new tv, assuming the other was faulty but it continued.

It wasn't until Evie's eleventh birthday that this 'fault' in all the tv was explained. When Evie got the news about being a witch she was sure it was a joke. It was like Punk'd or one of those other joke tv shows or something and she was ecstatic be on on one of them!! Finding out it wasn't a show and that she was actually a witch was a litle disappointing after that, until she realised what being a witch meant. Going to Hogwarts was going to be like being on of the witches in the Worst Witch (The movie, not the tv show. The movie was better)! They'd all be given black cats and fly brooms in cool formations! She had to admit she was scared of the thought that teacher like Miss Hardbroom, who would just appear in your room at night and be generally scary, could actually exist but apart from that she was excited to go.

Why was the Character Sorted into that House?: Evie is a friendly person who's happy to talk to anyone, even if she doesn't really know them. This friendliness and willingness to make new friends is the main reason for her being sorted into Hufflepuff.

Personality (a.k.a. the Fun Section)
Five Adjectives to Describe Your Character's Personality (and elaborate!)
1.Melodramatic Compared to the life Evie likes to watch on tv real life seems rather boring to her at times. For this reason she likes to be melodramatic and make bigger deals over things than need to be made. She also quite likes the attention being melodramatic gets her. Everything always has to be more than what it really is in Evie's opinion so she twists events and over reacts to things in order to make this so.
2.Unambitious Evie's favourite thing to do is lie in front of the tv and do nothing all day. Unfortunately for her, this is not possible at Hogwarts becuase of the lack of televisions, however, this does not make her any less lazy. Doing work of any sort is the last thing Evie wants to do. Instead she reads the television magazines she gets her parents to send her and either makes guesses about what might happen in the show or reminisces about past episodes or past shows. The only physical activity Evie willingly does is cheerleading and the reason she started doing that was because some of her favourite characters are cheerleaders and she wanted to be more like them.
3.Accident Prone Another reason for Evie's lack of physical activity (besides just being lazy) is her clumsiness. She's the type of person who trips over her own feet, bumps into things and just generally causes her self injuries by accident. A lot of the time this is becuase she's off in her own world, thinknig about tv shows and characters and what might happen between them, or even making up her own stories, and so is not concentrating on what she's doing. When she does concentrate her coordination isn't that bad(she is a cheer leader after all) but her attention span is short when it comes to things she's not very interested in so she often finds herself accidentally tripping or falling or bumping.
4. Imaginative Evie likes to make up stories, similar to those on shows or in movies, in her head. Sometimes she just makes up people or uses characters for these stories but she also likes to watch people at school and put together stories about them through observation. Some of her journal entries will be in the form 'Hogwarts High' which is her imaginary Hogwarts tv show where she likes to report her observations and what she thinks is happening or might happen. She doesn't mean to be malicious at all with these rumours but sometimes it might come accross that way when she's really just making up things for her own entertainment.
5. LOUD Along with being melodramatic Evie is also rather loud. She's never really been very good at the whole 'inside voice' thing and so is often told to be quieter. When she's writing instead of talking Evie enjoys writing in CAPITALS to EMPHASIZE things that are IMPORTANT or INTERESTING.

Likes: Television! Movies, books, Muggle things, being muggle, interesting things, making up stories, acting.

Dislikes: Not being able to watch tv, boring things, being told to be quieter.

Fears: Spiders and Insects! She's also scared that she won't get into writing or acting and then she'll have nothing to fall back onto because she pays so little attention to her work. Unfortunately this doesn't scare her enough to make her actually do work.

Goals: Evie wants to go into something to do with drama but she hasn't decided if she wants to be an actor or a writer because it's the actor that gets the attention but the writer who gets to choose what sort of interesting things will happen!

General Appearance: Evie has long brown hair, brown eyes and a HUGE smile. She's a little bit shorter than average but she makes up for this by being LOUDER than average. Clothing wise she likes to wear bright colours and fun clothes when she's not in her school robes.

I love the name Nathan! It always makes me think of Nathan from One Tree Hill. Maybe if I changed my name to Haley Nathan King will talk to me more often. He talked to me today and it was SO EXCITING! He asked me what our Herbology homework was. I didn't know but I think I like Herbology A LOT more now. I asked him to tell me if he finds out so then I can talk to him AGAIN!! And then we can start dating and then he can leave me for my best friend before realising he loves me more and so he comes back to me but I'md ating some one else and then finally, after LOTS of COMPLICATED and INTERESTING things have happened we'll get back together and live happily ever after!!!

And then there was that episode where- "Miss Anderson?" where "EVIE ANDERSON!"

Oh. That was her name. Oops. Evie looked up to meet eyes with Professor Dawlish. "Sorry Professor. What did you say?" she asked, not too ashamed to be caught not listening. It happened so often that Evie hardly even cared anymore. Plus Professor Dawlish was one of her favourite teachers anyway, especially since he's head of the Drama Club. Actually, Evie had meant to ask what they were thinknig on doing for the next production. She was looking forward to it and couldn't wait to find out what they would be doing. She'd have to remember to as next time theyhad a Drama Club meeting. Maybe it would be- "Evie!"
