Family History: Although both Luke and Kendall attended Hogwarts the two didn't meet until both out of school. They put this down to the seven year age gap between them because what 7th year pays that much attention to the little firsties? Their age gap not only meant that they didn’t meet for several years, it also meant that the played very different roles in the war. Kendall was only fifteen when the war broke out. This meant that she was in the school at the time. As a pureblood she’d never really felt threatened by the idea of war but when actually faced with it, she was scared. At 15 she hardly felt qualified to fight, even if she’d wanted to, so when the opportunity arose, Kendall escaped through the passageway.
Luke, however, didn’t have such an easy option. His father had been sent to Azkaban for suspected Death Eater alliances so he was urged to fight. But Luke had always been more interested in thinking than doing and although he would’ve liked to fight in place of his father, he didn’t agree with all of Voldermort’s ideas and he wasn’t one to dive into something that dangerous if he didn’t believe in it wholeheartedly. Instead he fled overseas during the war, waiting it out so he could return home again.
When the war was over and Kendall had finished school she started doing what she did best; nothing. Although her parents didn't discourage Kendall's work ethic, or lack there of, after a year or so they got sick of supporting her while she shopped and socialised. It was time for her to find someone else to support her. For the next few years Kendall flitted from rich guy to rich guy until she finally met Luke. Despite mnot being in love, the two got on well and after a year of dating they married. By the time Kendall was 22 Brooke had been born. Unforunately for Kendall a baby meant responsibility and loosing sleep without it being of her own inclining. So she hired a nanny. The nanny, Mary, raised Brooke for her entire childhood. Kendall was only really around when Brooke needed new clothes or it was time to throw her a birthday party. This caused Brooke to see Kendall as more a sister figure than a mother figure and so Brooke never really respected her mother all that much. Her father, on the other hand, she looked up to. He was smart and successful and even from a young age Brooke admired that.
Kendall and Luke’s relationship was never one of the great love stories but they both believed if you got to know a person well enough you could be happy with them, even if you weren’t in love. They’re still happily married and had their second child. Gabby, when Kendall was 35. The age gap between Brooke and Gabby has made their relationship difficult. Brooke has been at Hogwarts for all of Gabby’s life and so the only time they see each other is during holidays. To Gabby Brooke is a cool older sister who she tries to imitate, which annoys Brooke to no end. Brooke resents Gabby for taking away her only child status and because Kendall actually (mostly) raised Gabby, feeling that at 35 she was actually ready to try be a mother. Luke and Kendall love both their daughters and often ask Brooke to try be nicer to her sister. They have no plans to have anymore children and so want the two children they have to have a decent relationship. Unfortunately, this seems unlikely to happen.
Character History/Hogwarts Information
Character's Year/House: 7th year Slytherin
Why was the Character Sorted into that House?: Brooke had always hoped to be a Ravenclaw, like her father, not a Slytherin like her mother. However, her ambitious side and her tendancy to be a bit of a bitch landed her in Slytherin. Although she was disappointed by this at first she soon learnt that she fitted quite well in Slytherin and so grew to like it. Her admiration towards her father has made her determined to be more in life than a socialite like her mother. It is msotly this ambition to actually do something with her life that placed her in Slytherin at first but she has found herself to have other qualities that make her a good Slytherin too.

Personality (a.k.a. the Fun Section)
Five Adjectives to Describe Your Character's Personality (and elaborate!)
1.Two Faced To people who don't know Brooke very well she can seem quite sweet and friendly. She'll offer to help if you need it, give compliments and just be generally nice but when you're not around she'll complain about having to help and make nasty comments. To her, appearing to be nice to most people is a must as it makes her seem friendly and trustworthy. Brooke believes that once you've got people to like and trust you then you can get them to do almsot anything for you. Her dorm mates and any close friends know that this sweetness that she puts on is mostly a facade (although at times she is actually nice) and so in front of people who know she won't hold back no the nasty comments as much.
2.Hardworking Brooke's admiration of her father has made her hardworking. Although smart Brooke realises she's definitely not so smart that she can get through her classes and her schooling without working and so she makes sure she tries to do well in all her work so that she is happy with the results. Her desire to suceed and not just be like her mother has made her put the effort into her schoolwork, her club activities and into her prefecting (although she has been caught being a bit biased towards Slytherin in her prefecting). Sometimes Brooke puts too much pressure on herself to do well and so gets stressed. When she's like this it's best not to annoy her because she can be a bit snappy.
3.Decisive Brooke lacks patience when it comes to people who can't make decisions and spend hours umming and arring over what to choose. This has led Brooke herself to be quite decisive. She does like to make sure she thinks her decisions through but not to the point of never actually making a decision. She likes to get her own way so she'd rather be decisive and make the decisions for herself then let others choose for her. Unfortunately this can make her appear a little bossy.
4.Messy Having grown up never having to pick up after herself (that's what house elves are for) Brooke has very little idea about actually keeping things clean herself. Although she's had 7 years to try and learn to clean up after herself, Brooke's still leaves a mess. Clothes, school books, make up, shoes and pretty much anything else Brooke owns generally ends up on the floor at some point. It's usually not until things get so bad that she can't find anything or her dorm mates complain that she actually considers cleaning up and even then she does the bare minimum. The whole concept of keeping things tidy escapes her.
5.Squeamish Brooke hates the sight of blood or anything else gross. Although not one to faint at the sight of it, she will close her eyes or look away and be generally uncomfortable around it. She has no justification as to why she is this squeamish, apart from thinking its gross but she still can't stand seeing people with injuries.
Likes: Herself, Meriwether Pucey, shopping, doing well.
Dislikes: Gabby, not doing well, cleaning, gross things.
Fears: Not doing well enough on her NEWTs, ending up the same as her mother.
Goals: Currently Brooke likes the idea of going into marketing and advertising for wizarding products. After she gets her NEWT results back she's hoping to find work in that area.

The Rest
Height: 5'7
Build:Slight
General Appearance: Brooke has long, naturally curly blonde hair. Although generally she does leave it curly she does like to use straightening charms on it occaisionally. She's 5'7 and has green eyes. Despite being messy usually when it comes to grooming she's more fussy. Thanks to her mother she always has nice clothes (and no gross orange jumpers thank you very much!) and takes good care of her hair in order to make sure she looks good.
Hopeful PB: Sara Paxton
Journal Name: Notsosweet
Any pets?: No, her mother's too irresponsible to look after pets and her father's away too often so Brooke has never had any pets.
Is there anything else that should be known about your character?: She's not a fan of Quidditch but she pretends to have at least some interest in it because most everyone else seems to like it.
Writing Samples
First Person: Please write a journal entry in your character's voice on one of the following topics.
Topic A: Your house Quidditch team just lost...and by a LOT. How do you react? Do you blame anyone? Do you even care or does it seem like a lot of fuss over nothing?
We lost. So what? Does anyone really care? It's only a game, I don't really see what the big fuss is. But you're all going to be depressed for a few days now just becuase we lost some stupid game. Get over it people! Seriously!
Bad luck Slytherin! It's such a pity you lost, we totally deserved to win. We'll just have to play better and hope to win next time. We all know we're good enough so I'm sure next game will go better for us! Just keep practicingor whatever.
Topic B: Oh, bollocks! You tried to step on the trick stair, and have now ended up at the bottom of the staircase with a twisted ankle. What are you going to do? Is anyone coming by to help? Would anyone want to help?
Astronomy class had just finished, it was late and Brooke just couldn't wait to get back to the common room. Unfortunately the walk from the Astronomy tower back to the dungeons involved stairs. Lots and lots of stairs. Brooke had learnt which steps not to step on long ago but this night she wasn't paying close attention to where she was walking and suddenly she found herself at the bottom of a set of stairs that she'd only just began to descend. That would be alright if getting to the bottom that quickly hadn't involved falling down the stairs. Who's idea was it to invent trick stairs anyway? Whoever it was was obviously completely deranged and- Ow! What was that pain in her ankle? Brooke covered her face with her hands and turned her head towards her foot before slowly uncovering her face extremely slowly incase her foot was bent in some weird direction or something. That she did not want to see.
Seeing her foot in a reasonably normal state Brooke let out a sigh of relief anf uncovered her face. Sure, it still hurt but at least it didn't look disguisting. She rubbed her ankle before slowly getting back up again. 'The walk back to the common room is going to take even longer now!' she complained inwardly, as she hobbled away.
Finally...
What will you receive if you win? A shrubbery!
